How do I join the Individual Engagement Committee (IEC)?

To join the IEC, click here to fill out an application, and email it to mollie.mattingly@esmw.org.

Who do I contact if I have questions about the Individual Engagement Committee or other information on this site?

Is there a minimum age for joining the IEC?

Since all members of the IEC are voting members, you must be at least 18 to join.

If I join the IEC, do I have to attend all the meetings?

It is best to attend all the meetings you can as a member of the IEC. But, we understand if you occasionally have to miss a meeting due to conflict or illness. Notes are taken during each meeting and can be sent to any member who missed a meeting afterward.

Is there a driving school or instructor for people with disabilities?

Contact your Service Coordinator or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for resources in your area.

How can I get a job?

You can start exploring your career options by contacting our Family Navigation department at 1-800-200-2119.

If I need assistive technology, who can I contact?

It is best to contact your service coordinator through the Department of Mental Health (DMH); they have a list of resources for different adaptions and modifications covered under most insurance policies. You can also contact your Easterseals Midwest supervisor, manager, or director, and they will assist you in finding resources available to you.

I want to volunteer. Is there anywhere I can do that?

Where can I meet new friends?

There are tons of places to make new friends with the help of Easterseals. Joining the IEC is a great way to meet new people, come to one of our activities, or join an advocacy group in your area!
